Rachel Wheeler is an acrylic painter with a bright perspective to life, creating portraits that tell stories through her paintbrush, capturing every single detail.
Born and raised in Florida, she has always been an artist. Growing up covering her bedroom walls with murals and spending long nights painting her AP Art portfolio, she combined her creative heart and mathematical mind at Florida State University and went on to earn a degree of Bachelors in Science in Industrial Engineering.
Art is about having fun and staying curious, and Frankie's Junk Drawer is a manifestation of that. Each piece has a story and dives into personal interests, things that feel nostalgic, alive, kitschy, colorful, and weird.

Frankie’s Junk Drawer is named after my soul pet,

the loudest, funniest, most wonderfully unique calico. She loves sunshine, arugula, and her mom.
Born deaf, she never let the world’s silence keep her from making herself heard. Frankie was adopted in Tallahassee while I was studying at Florida State, right before the covid pandemic, on some immaculate timing. She's been right by my side ever since. She is the perfect match for me, a little bitchy, endlessly expressive, and completely one-of-a-kind.
I wanted to name this brand after her because Frankie’s Junk Drawer is meant to carry that same spirit: a collection of quirky, colorful, meaningful little treasures, each one with its own story and personality.
